This is the story of a nine-year-old girl who lives with her parents and siblings. Due to constant arguments between her parents, her mother was often distressed. The home environment had a significant impact on the girl, causing her to become aggressive and rebellious. She refused to listen to anyone and would often fight with other girls while playing outside. She had no interest in her studies.
One day, in a fit of anger, her mother slapped her, burning her skin. After taking her to the hospital, the doctor treated her physical wounds with medication and ointments. More importantly, the doctor provided counseling for both the mother and daughter. The Health Friend (a community health worker) followed up with the family.
Not only did her physical wounds heal, but she also learned how to manage her emotions. Through counseling and support, the girl’s behavior changed significantly. She became calmer, and her attitude towards life improved, thanks to the guidance and care she received.
